City of Pau, British city, it is well known… The Hippodrome takes pride in the prestigious past of the city on the occasion of the British day. On the menu of this unprecedented day, golf and rugby initiations…
Animations for the whole family!
During the afternoon, the grownups and children will gain an insight to the basics of golf thanks to the exceptional presence of the Pau Golf Club 1856, including the pros of the club: Philippe Heugas and Guillaume Terneyre. Finally, up and coming players of the PGC 1856 will make demos during the afternoon and the public will be allowed to hit the ball thanks to the golf training cage installed by the boutique Rue du Golf.
Exceptional guests, the players of the Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées will come for an autograph signing session and the small rugby buddies will be invited to compete… on the inflatable structure « le Rugby ».
But what would a So British! day be without the imperial bus of the Fifties « Alpha languages ».
And for the fun to be complete: pony rides, a mini golf workshop, giant trampolines, a makeup workshop and a balloon sculptor to delight the whole family!
And on this exceptional day, visitors will be able to discover all the symbolic sites of the Hippodrome: the scales, the presentation ring, stables and tracks for only 5 euros! This is the 360 ° tour!
On the racing side, an enticing program!
8 races will be on this day’s menu, including the John Henry Wright Prize, the final preparatory event for the Grand Cross of Pau Reverdy. The best cross horses of the moment will be in this for a general rehearsal…

Ville de Pau, ville anglaise, c’est bien connu… L’hippodrome honore le passé prestigieux de la cité à l’occasion de la journée anglaise. Au menu de cette journée inédite, initiations de golf et de rugby
Des animations pour toute la famille !
Au cours de l’après-midi, les plus grands comme les plus petits pourront s’initier aux rudiments du golf grâce à la présence exceptionnelle du Pau Golf Club 1856, et notamment des pros du club : Philippe Heugas et Guillaume Terneyre. Enfin, les meilleurs espoirs du PGC 1856 feront des démos durant l’après-midi et initieront le public à taper la balle grâce à la cage d’entraînement golf installée par la boutique Rue du Golf.
Invités exceptionnels, les joueurs de la Section Paloise Béarn Pyrénées viendront en guest pour signer des dédicaces et les petits rugbymen en herbe pourront s’affronter… sur la structure gonflable « Le Rugby ».
Mais que serait une journée so british sans le bus à impériale des années cinquante « Alpha Langues ».
Et pour que la fête soit complète : balades à poney, atelier mini golf, trampolines géants, atelier maquillage et sculpteur de ballons pour ravir toute la famille !
Et en ce jour exceptionnel, les visiteurs pourront découvrir tous les lieux emblématiques de l’hippodrome : balances, rond de présentation, écuries et les pistes pour 5 euros seulement ! C’est la Visite 360° !
Côté courses, un programme alléchant !
8 courses seront au menu de cette journée dont le Prix John Henry Wright, dernière épreuve préparatoire au Grand Cross de Pau Reverdy. Les meilleurs chevaux de cross du moment seront de la partie pour une répétition générale…
